Dear Teacher... from Apple iPad

Tuesday 3rd December 2013

Dear Teacher,
Thank you for working alongside me for the last twelve months. It has been an incredible journey and you must be proud of your achievements.
I am aware there have been moments of frustration and significant growth. Collaborative learning, iPad navigation, managing data and mirroring tablet display through Apple TV or AirServer has involved an enormous paradigm shift. Despite the pressures of accommodating new technologies, together we have achieved outstanding success. I have seen you embrace contemporary methodologies to enhance teaching and learning. I trust you continue to explore possibilities.
In the words of Bill Gates, 'Technology is just a tool. In terms of getting the kids working together and motivating them, the teacher is the most important'. Each and every recommended application or website amounts to nothing without the expertise of professional educators improving students outcomes. My role has been to assist your pursuit of teaching excellence and for you to discover your hidden potential.
Technology will evolve and curriculum will always require inclusion of modern practices. The responsibility of every teacher is to reflect on current research and  sustain continual professional development. Educators must evaluate teaching strategies and adopt current frameworks that enrich learning and transform practice.
I commend you on the outstanding results and wish for you continued success.
Sincerely yours,

Apple iPad
