Mexican Dry Rub Grilled Chicken Skewers - Lord Byrons Kitchen
Chili powder, paprika, cumin, and other spices are mixed together to make this Mexican Dry Rub Grilled Chicken Skewers taste great. Its great for summer barbecues or any time you want a tasty grilled dish
Ingredients:
- 1 kg chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 3 tablespoons chili powder
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- Wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes
Instructions:
In a small bowl, mix together chili powder, paprika, ground cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper to make the dry rub
Place the chicken pieces in a large bowl and drizzle with olive oil
Toss to coat evenly
Sprinkle the dry rub over the chicken, ensuring all pieces are well coated
Let marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator
Preheat grill to medium-high heat
Thread marinated chicken onto soaked wooden skewers
Grill skewers for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until chicken is cooked through and nicely charred on the outside
Serve hot with your favorite sides and enjoy
