Healthy Turkey & Green Bean Stir Fry
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 lb Chinese green beans, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Sliced green onions and sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions:
In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch
Set aside
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat
Add minced garlic and ginger, and stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant
Add ground turkey and cook, breaking it apart with a spatula, until its browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes
Remove the turkey from the skillet and set aside
In the same skillet, add a little more oil if needed and stir-fry the green beans for about 5 minutes until they become tender-crisp and slightly blistered
Return the cooked turkey to the skillet and pour the sauce over everything
Stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the turkey and green beans evenly
Season with salt and pepper to taste
Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving
Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles
