Pan Fried Crab Cakes
These pan fried crab cakes are made with succulent lump crab meat and fresh herbs, creating a flavorful and satisfying seafood dish.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb lump crab meat
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions:
Mayonnaise, parsley, chives, Dijon mustard, egg, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and black pepper should all be mixed together in a large bowl
Stir slowly until everything is well mixed
Be careful not to break up the crab meat too much
Make small patties out of the mixture that are about 2 inches across
Set a pan on medium heat and add the olive oil
Before you add the crab cakes to the pan, make sure both sides are golden brown and crispy
This should take about 34 minutes per side
Take it out of the pan and let it drain on paper towels
Serve hot, and if you want, top with more fresh herbs
